Softball Places Eight on All-Conference Teams

Jerome Softball placed eight players on the Great Basin Softball All-Conference Team for 2017. The team was announced Tuesday.  Selections are determined through voting by head coaches from each team after season statistics are shared and discussed.  Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own players.  Therefore, these players were recognized for their outstanding seasons by coaches from other teams, which makes the award even more special.  Congratulations to the…

Softball Season End with Loss at Twin Falls

The 2017 Lady Tigers Softball team came to a close at Twin Falls with a 10-0 loss on Thursday.  Defensive miscues and timely hitting from the Bruins put the Tigers in a 9-0 hole after the first inning and they were unable to recover.  Jerome ends the season 3rd in the conference in the regular season and 3rd in the conference tournament, with an overall record of 19-8.

Softball Opens District Tournament 1-1

The Jerome Softball team opened the 2017 Great Basin District Tournament with a 14-4 victory over the Minico Spartans before dropping game two to Canyon Ridge 11-1.  The loss moves the Tigers to the bottom half of the bracket which means they will host a loser-out contest against Burley at 5pm on Tuesday May 9th in Jerome.  With a win on Tuesday, the Tigers will advance to a state play-in…

Softball Closes Out Regular Season; Celebrates Seniors and Make-A-Wish

JLT softball swept the Minico Spartans this weekend to close out the regular season with an 11-4 conference record and an overall record of 17-6.  Jerome rolled against Minico ending all three games by run rule, 15-3, 16-1, and 12-1.  Saturday’s games were highlighted by Senior Day activities and by Make-A-Wish Spring Fling activities.  Jerome will open the conference tournament on Saturday, May 5th.  Check back later in the week…

Softball Sweeps Series with Burley

The Jerome softball team swept a three game series with the Burley Bobcats this weekend.  The Tigers used solid pitching and defense, paired with just enough offense, to get past a scrappy Bobcats team.  Jerome won game one at home 7-2, and then took games two and three at Burley 8-4 and 8-6 in 9 innings.  The sweep moves Jerome to 8-4 on the season in conference and 14-6 overall….

Softball Takes One of Three from Canyon Ridge
